KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has already decided that KP Oli will be appointed Prime Minister following the upcoming elections. UML has decided to form a single party majority and make party Chairperson Oli Prime Minister. Chairperson Oli has claimed in several interviews that the UML will form a majority government after the election and that he will be prime minister.

A few days ago Chairperson Oli informed the general public over that we will meet in Baluwatar. If UML becomes a stronger force than other parties, it is possible that UML will form the government after the election by bringing in smaller parties. If this occurs, Oli will become Prime Minister for the third time. People’s votes, according to Oli, will blow sand through the door.

‘People’s votes enter through the door, no mandate is required,’ he said. Now, the UML has allied with the RPP in three seats and the Janata Samajwadi Party in Terai-Madhesh. General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has also stated that even if the UML gains power, it can form a government with small parties. Many leaders in the ruling coalition are submitting claims on the Prime Minister’s line.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairperson of the CPN Maoist Center, is also in line to become Prime Minister following the election. He is stating that he will not aspire to become Prime Minister, but will do so if given the opportunity. In Gorkha, the Maoist center is campaigning for Prachanda to be the next Prime Minister. If the coalition wins a majority in the election, it is possible that more candidates will run for Prime Minister. Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa claims that he will be appointed Prime Minister following the elections.

‘I will be a contender for the prime ministership if the alliance gets a majority,’ said leader Thapa. “First, I have to become a leader below the parliamentary level, and then the matter of the prime minister will come.” Thapa has stated that he has no choice but to win the upcoming elections as he must be the leader of the parliamentary party in order to be appointed Prime Minister. General Minister Thapa has stated that if he wins the upcoming elections, he will fight for the party’s parliamentary leader.

‘My first goal is to be elected to the House of Representatives, then to be elected as a candidate for the leader of the parliamentary party from the second party.’ The third goal is to develop the country as Prime Minister,’ said leader Thapa.

Sher Bahadur Deuba, the Chairperson of the Nepali Congress, has stated that he will become Prime Minister for the sixth time. ‘The coalition’s election campaign is currently underway under the leadership of Prime Minister Deuba; if a majority is obtained, the current Prime Minister Deuba will be the one who becomes Prime Minister,’ said the leader.

Nepali Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has claimed that the government will be formed under the leadership of the Congress after the upcoming elections. He claimed that the government would be formed under the leadership of Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba. Spokesman Dr. Mahat claimed that there was no discussion among the coalition parties regarding the Prime Minister, but naturally, since the Congress is the largest party, it will lead the government and Deuba will be the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ Chairperson of the CPN Maoist Center, stated that if given the opportunity, he will develop the country by becoming Prime Minister. He stated that there has been no discussion within the ruling coalition about who will become prime minister following the election. But he also stated that if given the opportunity, he would like to lead. He claims that if he is elected Prime Minister for the third time, he will work to make a significant leap forward in development.

Sher Bahadur Deuba, according to Prachanda, was enthusiastic about his wishes. The chairman of the CPN United Socialist Party, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has stated that he will no longer walk around saying Prime Minister.

‘The coalition parties are winning with great success by garnering a large number of votes and seats,’ he said. Let’s talk about who will be Prime Minister; I’m not one of those people who sings, ‘I’ll be Prime Minister.’ He stated that the prime minister will be chosen based on the balance of power.
