Vijay Lama, a senior Captain been barred from flying for violating rules (VIDEO)
Pilot Lama has been grounded following a complaint that he was a part of a video during an ongoing flight.
KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines has barred Captain Vijay Lama from flying for violating Flight Operations Requirements, following a direction from the Flight Safety Standard Department (FSSD) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
No one is permitted to enter the cockpit except crew members. Senior pilot Lama, on the other hand, was dragged into the investigation after giving a video interview to a vlogger in the cockpit.
“Pilot Lama has been grounded following a complaint that he was a part of a video during an ongoing flight which is against the FOR clause until the investigation report is received,” said Bhul.
In a vlog of the Dubai-Kathmandu route, aviation vlogger Sam Chui recently published an interview with pilot Lama from the cockpit. Pilot Lama is being investigated.
Lama, who is currently flying a wide-body aircraft for the corporation on contract, has been asked to provide a written explanation within two days.
