Entry into UML along with Maoist state council members in Kathmandu-3

KATHMANDU: Today, 37 Maoist activists joined CPN UML, including Bagmati State Council member and educationist Pemachiri Sherpa of the CPN Maoist Center.

Krishna Rai, the CPN-UML Kathmandu Constituency No. 3 House of Representatives candidate, led the newcomers into the party by donning abir (tika) and garlands.

Pemachiri Sherpa ran for deputy mayor in Gokarneshwor Municipality on behalf of the CPN-Maoist in the most recent local elections.

Similarly, 9 members of the CPN United Samajwadi Party and 3 members of the Janata Samajwadi Party joined the UML today. Rameshwor Phuyal, the candidate for Kathmandu Constituency No. 3 (B) Bagmati State, was among those who attended the event.
