CM Pokharel fires Gandaki state Energy Minister Acharya
Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Pokharel fired him for his support for the UML.
POKHARA: Hari Sharan Acharya, the Gandaki State Government’s Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, has been fired.

According to reliable sources, Chief Minister Nepali fired CPN-UML candidate Raju Rana after learning that he was running in Gorkha-2 (2).
Minister Acharya stated that he did not solicit votes for anyone. He has also stated that he has been independent since Oct 7 by not belonging to any party and that he will not defraud anyone.
Minister Acharya is currently a member of the Nepal Samajwadi Party, which is led by Baburam Bhattarai. In the 2074 election, he was elected from Gorkha-2 (2). The Nepal Samajwadi Party has nominated Phanindra Devkota as a candidate for the state assembly in that region. He ran as an independent candidate in the rebel State Assembly against Phanindra’s candidacy, but later withdrew his candidacy.
