KATHMANDU: Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, the common candidate for member of the House of Representatives in Morang Constituency No. 3, has announced on behalf of the United Democratic Left Alliance that he will not accept state salary benefits if elected to the House of Representatives.

Addressing the election campaign organizer, Sharma, a House of Representatives candidate, stated that he is a candidate to give to society and the nation, and that he is more focused on what he can give to society and the nation than what he can take after becoming a parliamentarian.

Sharma declared that committing corruption or accepting bribes would be like eating mother’s blood for him, and that he would work without any state funding. Sharma stated that the wishes of the people could not be fulfilled as many of the people’s representatives who had been elected were taking bribes and committing corruption.

Sharma posed the question, “How will the country and society develop after those who are focused on how to take bribes and commit corruption are elected?” As a result, after being elected to the House of Representatives, I will not even accept state salary benefits, instead focusing solely on serving the people and building development.

He stated that this election is a battle between those who do and do not corrupt.

“The sovereign people should now decide who becomes an MP,” Sharma said. Sharma also urged everyone to defeat corrupt political leadership, claiming that corruption is the root cause of most of the country’s problems today.

Sharma said that even when the people are suffering from disease and hunger, there are people who eat commission, they ruined the country, now the time has come to decide in the hands of the people, since the people are the biggest judge, now the people should hurt the corrupt and vote for themselves.
