KATHMANDU: CPN-Unified Socialist Party has expelled five leaders of Jumla district from the party on Monday.

The leaders Devi Lal Thapa, Aadi Prasad Neupane, Nandaram Rokaya, Ratan Bahadur Rokaya, and Dharma Raj Rawal were expelled from the party responsibilities, according to a statement issued by Party General Secretary Dr. Beduram Bhusal on Monday.

Bhusal claims that when the party was expected to win elections for members of the House of Representatives and the State Assembly, those in the Jumla and Karnali State Committees were in collusion with anti-party forces and were involved in a conspiracy against the party.

They were expelled in accordance with the provisions of Articles 64 A, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 11 of the party constitution.

Furthermore, the statement states that Tirtha Bahadur Budha, a member of the party central committee, has been tasked with coordinating all of the Jumla district party’s activities.
