CPN-S Jumla District Committee merged with CPN-UML

KATHMANDU: Madhav Kumar Nepal’s CPN Unified Socialist Jumla District Committee has merged with the CPN-UML.

According to the joint statement issued by both parties’ district chairpersons, the entire district committee has merged with UML in order to strengthen UML in the upcoming general elections on Nov 20.

Shantilal Mahat, chairperson of the UML Jumla District Committee, and Aadi Prasad Neupane, chairperson of the Unified Samajwadi District Committee, issued a seven-point joint press release announcing the merger of the Samajwadi Party and the UML.

‘UML Jumla has united the party between UML District Committee Jumla and CPN Unified Socialist District Committee Jumla to break the all-around siege on UML in light of the public appeal made by UML Jumla on Oct 24 for the return of the original home, including left unity,’ according to the statement.

It is mentioned that the CPN-UML is forming a progressive government under the leadership of party chairperson KP Sharma Oli.
