BIRATNAGAR: Dr. Shekhar Koirala, the candidate for Morang Constituency No. 6 in the House of Representatives, has announced his resolution. In the first point of his proposed resolution, he raised the issue of constitutional protection and political stability. He has stated that he is determined to create a virtuous and capable state system, as well as good governance and a prosperous Nepal.

As its region is full of multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious, and multicultural diversity, the resolution letter states that it will advance the region’s economic development while protecting social, cultural, unity, and harmony among the diversity. In addition to the challenges of economic inequality and poverty in this region, adequate improvements in clean water, sewage, electricity, roads, health, and education are required. As stated in his resolution, the problem of youth unemployment is terrible, and democracy cannot be stable and advanced unless it is addressed.

Koirala has stated that he will implement a program that will bind all Nepalis to a safe blueprint of national health insurance, as well as free health care for our respected senior citizens. He also stated that the construction of strong embankments to prevent erosion and encroachment of the Gachhiya, Keshaliya (Budhi Khola), and Singiya rivers, as well as the upgrading of Biratnagar Airport, educational reform of the Eastern University, and medical college, will be prioritized.

In addition, he stated that the Biratnagar ring road should be completed and operational as soon as possible. “I require your assistance to play a leading role in the overall development of Morang Constituency No. 6 and in national politics,” he stated in his resolution. ‘In Koirala’s resolution, he stated that he will not jeopardize voters’ trust, saying, ‘I will not allow your vote to be insulted, and I will not allow you to bow down.’

Koirala, who was accused of not visiting the constituency even once after the 2074 election, stated that he would develop this area through his resolution, but citizens were not impressed. Workers have expressed concern that Koirala’s victory is not guaranteed because of insecurity within his party. According to reports, Koirala is not safe within the cadres because the workers will play a role in carrying out his resolution. Lal Babu Pandit of the CPN-UML is running for office in this district.

Pandit is regarded as a development leader by voters. According to local Asharam Sardar, Pandit has a great role in bringing Morang Constituency No. 6 to its current state. RPP has stepped up its election campaign in the same region, and it is expected that Koirala will vote for them as well.
