British College announces the registration open for Hult Prize 2023

KATHMANDU: The British College is pleased to announce that The Hult Prize will be held again in 2023, following its tremendous success last year.
The Hult Prize is a forum for aspiring participants to present their ideas to a panel of judges and compete for a seed investment of $1 million dollars. It was founded by The Hult Prize Foundation, a global platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and start-ups.
The Hult Prize is a United Nations-based program that is held in 120 countries each year for university-level students with different themes based on SDG goals, with this year’s theme being “Redesigning Fashion.”
In 2019, The British College established the Hult Prize and became one of only two teams in Nepal to be nominated for the Central South Asia Programme of the Year award. TBC organizers Grisham Tiwari and Sandeep Yadav were thus sponsored to attend the event, which was held in Nairobi, Kenya.
Miss Prajolita Bista, the first woman to be appointed as Campus Director for the Hult Prize, will take on this role this year. She will be joined by two DCDs, Sandeep Yadav and Sujit Gyawali, as well as 20 Committee Members, who have already begun planning the event.
The team has also begun to produce excellent work. On the occasion of National Children’s Day on September 14th, the Hult Prize committee joined St.School Xavier’s alumni in raising funds to donate materials to an NGO that cares for children who have been sexually abused. Miss Bista also held a meeting on September 27, 2022, where she discussed additional upcoming events.
She also confirmed that registration will be open until mid-November and encouraged interested TBC students to apply. Participants who are interested are asked to form a team of three to five members from the same university (with one member allowed to join from another institute).
