Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri shot dead

KATHMANDU: Sudhir Suri, the leader of the Shiv Sena, was assassinated on a busy road in Amritsar. He was shot near Gopal Mandir.

Suri was taken to the hospital shortly after the incident, where doctors declared him dead.

A local shopkeeper fired at least five shots from a pistol when Suri was protesting outside the temple against its management. The assailant has been apprehended, and the incident is being investigated.
