Mahesh Basnet’s door-to-door campaign begins in Oli’s home district Bhaktapur-2

KATHMANDU: The door-to-door campaign of CPN-UML chairperson KP Sharma Oli’s home district Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2 has started from Thursday for the elections of the House of Representatives and the State Assembly to be held on Mangsir 4 (Nov 20).

Madhyapur Thimi Municipality and Suryabinayak Municipality of the district are included in Constituency No. 2. UML Constituency No. 2 Propaganda Committee has started door to door program in both municipalities from today. This morning, the UML candidates started door-to-door program from Ward No. 1 of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality.

Politburo member and former minister Mahesh Basnet and Kiran Thapa in State ‘A’ Suryabinayak and Chandan Krishna Shrestha in State ‘B’ Madhyapur are candidates for Constituency No. 2. The door-to-door campaign was started in their joint presence.

Candidates for Constituency No. 2 include Politburo member and former minister Mahesh Basnet and Kiran Thapa in State ‘A’ Surya Binayak and Chandan Krishna Shrestha in State ‘B’ Madhyapur. In their presence, the door-to-door campaign was launched.

The activists present at the event, which included a dance performance, chanted slogans.

Local residents expressed their concerns and complaints to the candidates during the program. During this time, the candidates promised to complete the development projects in accordance with the wishes of the people. Madansundar Shrestha, UML Bagmati State Member, District Chairperson Bachan Deuja, Vice Chairperson Bashudev Thapa, State Proportional Candidate Sakuntala Shrestha, and others attended the event.

Such is the program schedule of UML Region No. 2

The committee has informed me that there will be a house-to-house program in Madhyapur in the morning and a house-to-house program in Suryabinayak in the afternoon. Similarly, door-to-door programs will be held by the Madhyapur region committee on Ward No. 2 on Kartik 18, Ward No. 3 on 19, Ward No. 4 on 20, Ward No. 5 on 21, Ward No. 6 on 22, Ward No. 7 on 23, Ward No. 8 on 24, and Ward No. 9 on 25. The committee has informed that the daily door-to-door program in the Madhyapur area will begin at 7 a.m.

Similarly, it is reported that a door-to-door campaign will be held in Ward No. 1 at 2 p.m. today in the Suryabinayak area. Ward No. 2 on the 18, Ward No. 3 on the 19, Ward No. 4 on the 20, Ward No. 5 on the 21, Ward No. 6 on the 22, Ward No. 7 on the 23, Ward No. 8 on the 24, and Ward No. 9 on the 25 committees have been informed that door-to-door visits will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Similarly, on the morning of the 26th, the committee announced a door-to-door campaign in Sunpa Ward No. 10.
