KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has stated that government ministers must obtain permission to campaign for elections.
According to Chief Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya, federal and state government ministers should seek permission to campaign for elections.
Chief Commissioner Thapaliya also stated that those who participated in the election campaign with permission would be monitored to see if they used government resources or not.
The commission has directed the candidates to submit the costs incurred in building the platform while organizing the meeting in their election area.
According to Chief Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya, candidates have been instructed to submit the costs of constructing a platform for the general assembly or corner assembly held in their election area within 15 days of the election.
