Arju Rice Mill fixed the support price of Ranjit paddy, 27 & a half rupees per kg
The said mill has set the Ranjit paddy support price for this season at Rs. 27.50 paise per kg (Rs. 1100 equivalent).
KATHMANDU: Arju Rice Mill in Dandihat, Beldangi, Morang, has fixed the support price of the ‘Ranjit’ variety of rice which has the investment of Birendra Bahadur Basnet, Managing Director of Buddha Air.
The said mill has set the Ranjit paddy support price for this season at Rs. 27.50 paise per kg (Rs. 1100 equivalent).
The process of importing this paddy to begin in the coming days. The mill announced on Wednesday that the money will be deposited in the farmer’s bank account only two days after the paddy is delivered to the mill.
The mill has installed a cutting-edge rice weighing machine on its premises. The Department of Measurement and Quality has approved the machine.
Arju Rice Mill cooperated with farmers and distributed subsidised seeds of ‘Ramdhaan’ and ‘Tejgold’ paddy to them.
This mill employs fully automatic technology. Machines from the well-known European firm ‘Bhullar’ have been installed in the mill.
After a few weeks, the mill intends to distribute Jira Masino (name of rice) seeds, long-grain rice, and basmati rice at low prices in the Nepali market.
Nepal imports food worth billions of rupees every year. This has slowed job creation and decreased the country’s foreign currency reserves.
Arju Rice Mill, named after Buddha Air’s managing director Basnet’s daughter, aims to distribute wholesome and nutritious rice in collaboration with Nepali farmers.
