Manushi reached Ashtalaxmi Shakya’s house seeking votes

KATHMANDU: Manushi Yami, a ruling coalition candidate in Kathmandu 7, has gone to the house of CPN-UML senior leader Astalaxmi Shakya to solicit votes. Shakya is a voter of the same area.

UML attemped to make Shakya a candidate in the same area. Shakya herself refused to run, stating that the next generation should be given a chance.

Manushi Yami Bhattarai, the niece of former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, has been busy with door-to-door activities in Kathmandu 7. Manushi went to Shakya’s house to solicit votes for the house-to-house program. Manushi and Shakya have a brief discussion about current events. Manushi looked up to Ashtalaxmi as an inspiration in her political career. Manushi was told by Ashtalaxmi that we are unhappy without her.

Manushi was wished by Ashtalaxmi and her husband, UML leader Amrit Kumar Bohra. Ashtalaxmi stated that without coordination, it was impossible to rise above the abuse and build the country. Shakya stated that because republicanism and socialism are universal, they should coexist.

‘The time has come to form a single mission as a single obstacle on the road to good governance and prosperity,’ Manushi said during the meeting.
