878 employees to be mobilized in Jumla for election purposes

KATHMANDU: A total of 878 employees would be mobilized for the Jumla district House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.

The twin election is taking place across the country on Nov 20.

According to Chief of the District Election Office, Jumla, Mahesh Sharma, employees – returning officer, assistant returning officer, assistant employee and office assistant – as well as volunteers would be mobilized for the election.

Across the district, 106 voting centers and 83 polling stations have been established. Similarly, four volunteers would be assigned to each voting center.

According to the District Election Office, there are 68,638 voters in the district for one House of Representatives and two State Assembly members.

According to the District Administration Office in Jumla, the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and 800 temporary police officers will be stationed in the district to provide security during the election.
