KATHMANDU: One crore 29 lakh 53 thousand 500 ballot papers have been printed for the first-come, first-served system, and one crore 46 lakh 35 thousand for the House of Representatives. The commission also handles shipping and printing.

Except for Manang and Mustang, all districts have completed the transportation of ballots for the proportional election system, while 78 lakh 65 thousand ballots have been transported for the first to be elected system. Ballot papers from 16 districts have been transported under the first-come, first-served election system until Monday.

Kailali, Kanchanpur, Achham, Doti, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Baitadi, Darchula, Nawalparasi East, Nawalparasi West, Banke, Bardiya, Jajarkot, Kalikot, Dailekh, and Surkhet are the districts where the shipment is made. Ballot papers for the districts of Humla, Jumla, Dolpa, Mugu, and Bajura have been delivered to Surkhet.

As the commission will use ballots with the election symbols of the parties or candidates in each constituency for the first-come, first-served system, different ballots will be used this time according to the constituencies.

Similarly, the proportional election system will use the same ballot for the House of Representatives across the country. Depending on the number of parties in the state, different ballots will be used for the state assembly.
