Over 2,000 tourists visited Parbat on Saturday
Tourists from Pokhara, as well as those from Mustang, have begun to visit Kushma to partake in bungee, zipline, and other adventure activities.
KUSMA: More than 2,000 tourists reached Parbat on Saturday. Ten young people who had set out on a journey from Tanahun to Mustang met at “The Cliff Resort” in Kushma on Saturday. They were unable to complete the bungee jump despite the fact that Kushma was designated as a transit point.
“The booking was done a week ago, so there was no question of our turn,” said Dipesh Paudel, one of the group’s members, “so instead, we took the ‘zipline’ experience.” He stated that he would spend Saturday in Kushma and make the trip to Mustang on Sunday morning. Sharmila Gurung, who had traveled from Chitwan, was also taking photos with her husband and daughter on the suspension bridge.
He stated that, despite having planned to come on Dashain, the plan was successful on Tihar. Kushma is quickly becoming a popular tourist destination.
Tourists from Pokhara, as well as those from Mustang, have begun to visit Kushma to partake in bungee, zipline, and other adventure activities.
However, according to Mausam KC, a restaurant owner, the number of tourists who visit Kushma is very low. “Even if they come to Kushma, there are few tourists who stay,” he explained, adding that “most tourists come to see bungee in private vehicles and return to Pokhara, so the market is not promoted.” The “The Cliff” company reported that more than 2000 people crossed the Kushma suspension bridge on Saturday alone. The bridge costs 500 rupees per person.
According to the company, 60 to 65 people bungee jump on a daily basis, according to Netra Parajuli. “I’ve been busy since the morning; on Saturday, there was a crowd of people playing sky cycling, skychair, skycafe, and ping pong,” he said, adding that “the ‘tents’ staying at the resort were also full.”
