Bullingtar Bus Accident: Identities of the injured and deceased

KATHMANDU: A bus traveling from Rambha Rural Municipality-1, Hungi to Gorkha for Mankamana worship of Palpa was involved in an accident at Bulingtar, Nawalparasi East, killing five people. The accident at Bullingtar-2, Mathar, injured 30 people.

According to Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari, Chief of District Police Office East Nawalparasi, bus No. 6 B 7580 lost control and crashed about 100 meters from the road. Chief Tiwari stated that the accident killed 41-year-old Tara BK of Rambha Rural Municipality-1 Hungi, 17-year-old Binay BK, 62-year-old Dhani BK, 58-year-old Devi Gaha, and 45-year-old Phulmaya BK of Galyang Municipality-9 in Syangja.

One of Narayani Transport Pvt Ltd’s two buses bound for Mankamana proceeded, while the other was involved in an accident. At 3 a.m. on Sunday, the bus was involved in an accident on the road beneath the Kaligandaki Corridor.

At 9 p.m., the bus left Hungi for Manakamana for worship. The crashed bus has stuck on a cliff.

Locals and police rescued and sent seriously injured to Narayani Community Hospital Bharatpur and those with minor injuries were sent to Rampur. Among the injured are 4-year-old Ankit Sunar of Rambha Rural Municipality-1, 10-year-old Krishna Kewat, 18-year-old Prabin Sunar, 20-year-old Ram BK, 21-year-old Rita BK, 25-year-old Kasiram BK, 1-year-old Aaisha BK, 16-year-old Avinash BK, 17-year-old Bishal BK, 7-year-old Pushpa BK, 47-year-old Meghnath BK, 25-year-old Dil Maya Rana of Syangja Galyang 9, 3-year-old Rabin Rana of the same place, 32-year-old Sumitra BK working at Bhairahawa Bhim Hospital, 15-year-old Rima BK of Rambha-1 Bhale Dhunga, 32-year-old Sanu Sunar of Rambha-1, 38-year-old Prem Bahadur Sunar of Rambha 1.

Similarly, 20-year-old Aashish Sunar, 20-year-old Bijay BK, 36-year-old Mayan BK, 35-year-old Manoj Kumar BK of Syangja Galyang 8, 30-year-old Uma Kumari BK of the same place, 30-year-old Sarita Majhi of Galyang 9, 31-year-old Ramu Rana of the same place, 12-year-old Ashmita Sunar, 47-year-old Om Bahadur BK, 45-year-old Seti BK and 48-year-old Shiva Kumari BK of Palpa Rambha-1.

Driver Dil Kumar Shrestha from Rampur-3 Gandaki Dhik, and co-driver Sajan Shrestha from Rampur-5 Bejhand were also injured.
