TRISHULI: The sand filled in the decanter sand settling pond built to bring water to the Trishuli hydro power plant in Nuwakot and the equipment used to extract the sand has been damaged.
The 21 MW Trishuli and 14 MW Devighat hydroelectric facilities are operational, and water supplied from the Trishuli River is stored in this pond.
