Balen’s Deusi: I feel sad, my friend’s restaurant was demolished (video)

KATHMANDU: Balen Sah, the chief (mayor) of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has expressed regret at having to demolish his friend’s restaurant.

Playing Deusi at actor Hari Bansha Acharya’s house on Tuesday, Sah expressed sadness that he had to destroy his friend’s restaurant.

Shiv Dahal, a journalist, sang a song with the lyrics ‘Aha Kalilo Tamalai Sodh Ramalai…’ in a video posted on Twitter.

In another context, he said, ‘…other times are friends, what a mayor!’

Balen, who was elected in the local-level elections held last Baisakh (April/May), has continued the work of demolishing the metropolitan city’s illegal structures.
