KATHMANDU: The printing of 1,0337,000 ballot papers was completed by Wednesday in preparation for the House of Representatives and State Assembly member elections on Nov 20.

There are 5 million 13 thousand ballot papers for the House of Representatives and 5 million 24 thousand ballot papers for the State Assembly among those printed.

In addition, the printing of ballot papers for the first election system in the districts of Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum West, Surkhet, Bajura, Bajhang, Doti, Darchula, Baitadi, and Dadeldhura has been completed.

Ballot papers for the state assembly have also been printed in the districts of Salyan, Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum West, Surkhet, Bajura, Bajhang, Darchula, Baitadi, and Acham.

The ballot papers are being printed by the Commission at Janak Shiksha Sampan Kendra Limited in Bhaktapur. The second round of ballot papers will be sent to the proportional election system starting tomorrow.

Ballot papers for Madhesh and Bagmati states were shipped as part of the first phase, State 1. A total of 24,21,000 ballot papers for the House of Representatives and 21,184,000 ballot papers for the State Assembly have already been printed under the proportional election system.

Furthermore, the Election Commission has already printed 2.24 million sample ballot papers and distributed them to districts for election education purposes.
