Zipline & Sky Rope Cycling at Tanahun Pigeon Hill
Pigeon Hill Resort and Fun Park, which opened in 2012, has expanded its offerings to include ziplining and sky rope cycling.
KATHMANDU: The zipline and sky rope cycling construction in Tanahun Parewa Danda (Pigeon Hill) is nearing completion.
Tanahun Pigeon Hill will have a zipline and ‘Sky Rope Cycling.’ Pigeon Hill Resort and Fun Park, which opened in 2012, has expanded its offerings to include ziplining and sky rope cycling.
Bivek Sapkota, the resort’s owner, stated that the zipline will be ready in a few days and that the sky rope cycling will be completed within the month of Kartik (Oct/Nov). By crossing the Madi River, we were able to put a 500-meter zipline into operation.
“It has been arranged to reach Chintu Danda from Parewa Danda or Pigeon Hill,” he says, “and testing of 100-meter sky rope cycling at a height of 90 feet is currently underway.”
Similarly, he claims that the zipline fee is 1,500 and the sky rope cycling fee is 1,000 (two-way). Sapkota stated that the resort has only budgeted 1 crore 25 million for zipline and sky rope cycling.
The resort is located 5 km north of Damauli in Pigeon Hill. The resort is spread across 10 ropanis and currently has structures built on 4 ropanis.
Similarly, he claims that in the next two years, there are plans to add luxury rooms, a swimming pool, a children’s fun park, and other structures.
Aside from that, a massive swing is also in operation at the resort. Sapkota claims that the swing has been in operation for two years. Swing can be played by people weighing up to 90 kg, according to him.
