Transportation of ballot papers from State 1 & Madhesh State begins
According to the commission, 1.7 million ballot papers for the first-come, first-served system have been printed.
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has begun transporting printed ballots for the proportional election system for House of Representatives and State Assembly member elections on Nove 20 from State 1 and Madhesh State.
The Election Commission has so far transported ballot papers to Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu, Udaipur, Saptari, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha, Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Sankhuwasabha, Terhathum, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Morang, and Sunsari for House of Representatives and State Assembly elections under the proportional election system.
For that system, four crores six lakh five thousand ballot papers were printed. The printing of 204,210,000 ballot papers for the House of Representatives proportional representation system has been completed, as has the printing of 201,840,000 ballot papers for all seven states’ proportional representation systems.
According to the commission, 1.7 million ballot papers for the first-come, first-served system have been printed.
