Nominations of 11 people in Morang returned, among them two S leaders
Many independent candidates have filed their candidacies against withdrawing their candidacy before the Election Commission's deadline.
BIRATNAGAR: Eleven Morang district candidates have withdrawn their candidacies. Eleven people, including three members of the House of Representatives and eight members of the State Assembly, have withdrawn their candidacies.

Sujatha Thapa, who registered as an independent candidate from Constituency No. 1 in the House of Representatives, Gokul Prasad Pokharel from Constituency No. 2, and Raju Mandal Rajbanshi, who contested from Constituency No. 6 in the Democratic Samajwadi Party, have all withdrawn their registered nominations, according to Levan Kashyap Adhikari, Chief of State Election Office Biratnagar.
Similarly, Dilliram Sharma Adhikari of Region No. 1, Tilak Prasad Rai, Kanchan Kumar Budhathoki of Constituency No. 3, Bhuraj Rai of Constituency No. 5, Jeevan Kumar Gupta, and Suresh Kumar Shrestha of Constituency No. 6, who filed nominations for State Assembly members but later withdrew their nominations as independent candidates.
Similarly, Mahesh Regmi of the CPN United Socialist Party, who had registered his candidacy in Constituency No. 4, and Mo Wasim Alam of Constituency No. 6, have withdrawn their candidacies, according to the official. Alam and Regmi filed nominations, expressing their displeasure with the alliance.
