KATHMANDU: Dr. Beduram Bhusal, General Secretary of the CPN (Unified Socialist), has instructed his leaders and workers who have nominated candidates in violation of the alliance’s agreement to withdraw their candidacies immediately.
Dr. Bhusal, the party’s general secretary, issued a statement saying that the party will take action if the party disobeys party instructions and continues to run in the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections on Nov 20.
He has also urged them to submit their applications within the deadline and to maintain organizational discipline.
The Election Commission has set the deadline for candidates to be nominated on October 9 and for those who have already registered to withdraw their nominations on October 12. Previously, the party had asked all voters across the country to support the alliance’s common candidate.
