KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday after treatment.

Ram Bikram Adhikari, the hospital’s information officer, reported that he was released from the hospital at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday after his condition had improved following treatment for COVID-19 infection at the Tribhuvan University (TU) Teaching Hospital.

He stated, “She returned home today after noticing an improvement in her health. The president’s fever and other health indicators are normal, according to Bhandari.

President Bhandari was admitted to the hospital’s Annex Ward No. 601 on October 8 after developing a cold and fever. She was found to be infected with COVID-19 during the PCR test.

For her care, a medical staff led by Dr. Neeraj Bam was assembled.
