Satya Mohan Joshi’s condition critical, shifted to ICU
Joshi, who was admitted to KIST Medical College's emergency ward on Sept 23, was shifted to the ICU room today (Monday) after his health did not improve.
KATHMANDU: Satya Mohan Joshi, a cultural scholar and literary centenarian, has been admitted to the Intensive Care unit (ICU) at KIST Medical College in Lalitpur.
Joshi, who was admitted to KIST Medical College’s emergency ward on Sept 23, was shifted to the ICU room today (Monday) after his health did not improve.
Satya Mohan Joshi has been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Lalitpur’s KIST Medical College, which has been providing free health services to him and his wife.
Dengue infection was confirmed in 103-year-old Joshi during a blood test. Joshi is already suffering from heart and prostate issues.
Joshi has a dengue infection, according to Prof. Dr. Suraj Bajracharya, director of KIST Medical College. Bajracharya stated that he had no desire to eat and had been unable to speak for the previous three/four days. Joshi has also been diagnosed with a urinary infection and pneumonia in the chest.
