Kalikot Update: 13 people who went to funeral confirmed missing

According to the district administration office, 13 people who went to the funeral in Tilagufa Municipality Ranchuli village of Kalikot have gone missing.

Those who had attended Hemraj Shahi’s funeral on the banks of the Tila River on Sunday fled after a landslide occurred while cremating his body on Saturday.

Chief District Officer Ramhari Sharma told Makalu Khabar that 13 people were confirmed missing.

He stated that there are approximately 100 houses in that area, and 500 people, including children, are at risk of landslides, so they have taken refuge in a nearby school.

Sharma stated that after the weather improved, plans were made to rescue them by helicopter.
