NC General Minister Sharma registers his candidature from Jhapa 1

KATHMANDU: Bishwa Prakash Sharma, General Minister of the Nepali Congress, today registered his candidacy for House of Representatives member from Jhapa constituency 1 in the upcoming elections on Nov 20.

At 3:30 p.m., he arrived at the Election Officer’s office in Mechinagar via Bhadrapur Airport and registered his candidacy.

District Deputy Chairperson of Nepali Congress Keshav Raj Pandey and Regional Chairperson Indra Kumar Budhathoki have supported him as his proposer. Sharma, who had become an alliance candidate, was brought along with a rally to register his candidacy.

Similarly, Agni Kharel, the district in-charge of the CPN (UML) in Jhapa, has nominated a candidate for the House of Representatives. Bishnu Prasai, a central advisory member of the party, and former state member Shri Prasad Mainali are among his supporters.

According to the Election Office Jhapa, Region No. 1 has 120,375 registered voters.
