Sujata gets ticket to Morang 2, leaving Minendra behind

KATHMANDU: Sujata Koirala, the leader of the Nepali Congress, has got the ticket as a member of the House of Representatives from Morang constituency number 2.

Despite the fact that the Congress regional committee recommended the names of Koirala and Rizal from that region, the Congress was unable to choose a candidate as both of them refused to relinquish their claims. The party decided to nominate Koirala on Saturday night.

Dr. Rijal defeated UML candidate Rishikesh Pokharel in 2074. Pokharel has been nominated by the UML as its candidate for the Nov 4 election.

Congress has given a ticket to Dr. Sunil Sharma in Morang constituency number 3. Sharma was a single recommendation from the region.
