Government promises to hold fair elections: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has reiterated the government’s commitment to holding free, fair, and peaceful elections to the House of Representatives and State Assembly.

PM Deuba said in a message of best wishes on the occasion of Dashain, Nepal’s most important festival, today that periodic elections strengthen democracy.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation and support from all political parties, security agencies, public servants, civil society, and the media for free and fair elections.
