KATHMANDU: Two died and 17 people sustained injuries Saturday morning in a jeep accident near Kumakh Rural Municipality-6 Jimalin in Salyan, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Damodar KC of District Police Office Salyan.

The accident killed a 39-year-old man and a 14-year-old girl, according to KC.

According to the police, the jeep was carrying 19 passengers from Dumkot to Khairabang Bhagwati, a religious site.

According to DSP KC, the identities of those injured have yet to be confirmed.

Those injured in the accident were rescued and taken to the district hospital.
