KATHMANDU: Balendra Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu, who has been digging Tukucha ‘Khola’ with zeal, has written a poem about it.

While the High Court (Patan) issued a temporary order not to demolish structures built on the Tukucha River, Mayor Shah posted a poem on social media about the Tukucha’s continuation.

His poem implies that the Tukucha excavation campaign will continue indefinitely.

Here is the poem he wrote:

He is not lost
He keeps drifting
As long as you breathe
As long as you hope
Your mean angel
Until our corpse flow
Continuous, uncontested, flawless
As long as this earth and sky remain.

In this poem, “He” identifies as Tukucha.
