Khambu as chairperson of Kirat Rai Writers Association, Dharasayi as general secretary!
Khambu expressed his delight at being elected chairperson.
KATHMANDU: Baliraj Khambu has beenelected chairperson of the Kirat Rai Writers Association. The association’s 4th session elected a new working committee of 11 members, chaired by Khambu. Prakash Dumi Rai and Ambika Anmol have been elected as the committee’s vice-chairpersons.
Similarly, after Bawishankar Rai ‘Dharasayi’ was appointed General Secretary, Naman Rai was appointed Secretary. Similarly, Anjana Rai ‘Ichhamphool’ was chosen as treasurer.
Khambu expressed his delight at being elected chairperson. Special thanks to everyone who was instrumental in establishing and growing the Kirat Rai Writers’ Association. “I’d like to thank all of my friends for believing in me and electing me to such a prestigious position and important responsibility as chairperson,” he said.
The association, which was founded in 2064, has worked tirelessly to bring equality and identity issues to the forefront of art and literature.
