Achham landslide death toll reaches 22 (with list)
Eleven people were injured in the landslide.
KATHMANDU: Landslides killed 22 people in Achham’s Dhakari Rural Municipality, Kamalbazar Municipality, and Turmakhand Rural Municipality, according to police.
According to District Police Office Achham, the deceased has been identified as two-year-old Naveen Budha, resident of Dhakari Rural Municipality-6, Janaki Shahi-17 of Turmakhand Rural Municipality, 17 years old Bimala Shahi from the same rural municipality, 45 years old Netra Shahi, 36 years old Manisha Shahi, 17-year-old Kalpana Shahi, 13-year-old Sundar Shahi, one-year-old Manika Shahi, three-year-old Kalpana Shahi, 21-year-old Bhawana Shahi and Amrita Kami-30 of Kamalbazar Municipality-6, 17-year-old Samita Kami, 21-year-old Aradhana Kami, 9-year-old Nikhil Kami, 36-year-old Mainkala Kami, 15-year-old Geeta Kami, 12-year-old Siru Kami.
Similarly, Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Dangi of District Police Office Achham informed 26-year-old Gambhir Damai of Kamalbazar Municipality-8 Dhungla, 23-year-old Bhana Damai from the same municipality, 6-year-old Digra Damai, 3-year-old Kalnu Damai, and 4-year-old Kalpana Damai.
Eleven people were injured in the landslide.
