Dengue outbreak in valley: metropolitan started a hotline service & free ambulance

KATHMANDU: Following the spread of dengue fever, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has established a hotline service. A 24-hour hotline for dengue-infected people has been established, according to Balendra Shah, the mayor of the metropolitan.

If you suspect you are infected with dengue, dial 1180 to speak with a health professional. If necessary, dial 102 for the metropolitan’s free ambulance service.

“The way dengue has spread in the community is something that we have all experienced,” he said. “There is a need for extreme awareness and action to prevent and control it.”

He stated that existing programs are being expanded, new programs are being introduced, and resources and manpower are being utilized to the greatest extent possible.
