Coca-Cola announces Dashain Campaign “Sambandha Utsav Swad Sanga”
For several years, Dashain has been at the heart of Coca-marketing Cola's and consumer campaigns.
KATHMANDU: Sanga,” which implies that Dashain is a time when families gather to enjoy, share meals, and strengthen family bonds. After all, the joy of Dashain is celebrating magical moments and emotions in our lives with those we love.
For several years, Dashain has been at the heart of Coca-marketing Cola’s and consumer campaigns, and each year, Coca-Cola introduces a unique and heartwarming theme with which consumers can connect.
To make it even more special, Coca-Cola has introduced 5 new labels featuring artworks representing Dashain in Nepal. Kite flying, putting on Tika, eating with family, Ping (Dashain Swing), and Deusi Bhailo celebrations are among the activities depicted in the artworks.
Mr. Adarsh Avasthi, Country Director of Coca-Cola in Nepal, commented on the campaign, “I am very excited about the theme for this year “Sambandha Utsav Swad Sanga” as it perfectly reflects what Dashain is all about- it is a celebration of relationships, coming together and bonding over the best tasting food that is prepared for Dashain.” With the Dashain special Coke bottles, we wish our customers many magical moments of togetherness and hope that everyone remembers the festivities fondly.”
Coca-Cola has also released a new television commercial starring brand ambassador Swastima Khadka. In the TV commercial, Swastima obtains her late grandmother’s recipe book and begins her holiday preparations.
Throughout the video, we hear the narration of her grandmother reciting the Dashain recipe, in which she discusses how people are the key ingredients of Dashain and how when they come together, the real magic happens. The TV commercial also features Swoopna Suman’s song “Sambandha Utsav.”
“Dashain is the biggest festival in Nepal, and the same goes for Coke,” said Mr. Pradip Pandey, Managing Director of Bottlers Nepal Limited.

As food is such an important part of Dashain, Coca-Cola has collaborated with BBC Master Chef Professionals winner Santosh Shah to create 5 recipes that are ideal for the festival. To obtain the recipes, consumers can simply scan the QR code on the labels of Coke bottles or find recipe videos on Coca-Cola Nepal’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Customers can also enter the cooking contest by uploading videos of their food to social media and tagging Coca-Cola Nepal and Chef Santosh Shah. Three lucky winners will have the opportunity to meet and greet the renowned chef.
