Lumbini govt. starts investment dialogue to make invest summit fruitful

KATHMANDU: Lumbini Province government has started investment dialogue at its districts in order to make the investment summit fruitful.

Minister for Finance and Cooperatives of Lumbini State, Krishna Dhoj Khadka, said dialogue and discussion have been initiated to collect suggestions of industrialists and entrepreneurs of the districts as a preparation of the investment summit.

Speaking at an investment dialogue program organized at Nepalgunj today, Minister Khadka mentioned that the investment summit is going to be organized with the objective of making the province self-dependent creating entrepreneurship and employment after identifying problems of industries that are in operation in the state.

The Lumbini State government with the collaboration of federal and local government has been carrying out activities to create an environment where Nepali citizens can get employment in the country prioritizing tourism, agriculture and industry in order to make the Lumbini State self-dependent.

Similarly, vice-chair of the Lumbini State Planning Commission, Bamdev Chhetri, opined that preparation has been made to organize an investment summit after holding investment dialogue with industrialists and entrepreneurs of all districts of the state in different phases.

Secretary at the Ministry, Netra Prasad Subedi, shared that preparation is underway to organize Lumbini Investment Summit in January 2023, bringing in investment in four-five projects.

President of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdul Wahid Mansuri, former Executive Chief of the Investment Board, Rajesh Panta, Chief District Officer of Banke, Surya Bahadur Khatri, industrialists and entrepreneurs of different districts talked about the investment summit.
