Nepal exited Asian Cup Qualifiers with defeat against Bahrain

KATHMANDU: The Nepali youth team was defeated for the third time in a row in the ongoing AFC U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers in Bahrain.

On Wednesday night, Nepal’s home team was defeated 6-0 by Bahrain at the Sheikh Ali Bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Stadium.

Bahrain also won the first match in Group B and collected four points in two matches.

Nepal has been eliminated from the selection after losing for the third time in a row and remaining at the bottom with no points. Nepal lost the first match 2-0 to Bhutan and the second match 3-1 to Qatar.

Nepal will now face Bangladesh in the final group stage match on Sunday.

The group winners will advance to the U-20 Asian Cup, which will be held in Uzbekistan in 2023.
