Parliament adjourned for two hours to wait for the TRC bill

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives meeting has been rescheduled for 1 p.m.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the meeting scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor has been rescheduled for 1 p.m.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota stated during today’s meeting that there is a possible agenda item for reading out the letter regarding the verification of the bill received from the President’s office.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, there is a possible agenda item for presenting the National Assembly’s amendment proposal to the Prison Bill, 2078.

However, according to the leaders, the House of Representatives meeting has been moved to create an environment in which the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives will present the TRC bill’s report to the House of Representatives today. Singha Durbar is hosting a meeting of the law committee.
