BIRATNAGAR: Rekha Thapa, a well-known actress and leader, is currently campaigning in Morang Constituency No. 3.

Thapa, who was recommended by RPP for the Morang Constituency No. 3 House of Representatives election, is now busy in her constituency.

For the first time, Thapa has entered the House of Representatives election directly. Bhanubhakta Dhakal of the CPN-UML and Sunil Sharma of the Nepali Congress are also running from this seat. Thapa stated that she has been concentrating her efforts on her constituency for some time.

As she is a well-known actress, her popularity has spread to this constituency. A large number of people come to see Thapa during his meetings with voters from Pathari Shanishchare, Kanepokhari, Belbari, and Sundar Haraichha.

She claims to have the support of voters of all ages. There was excitement among the voters when Thapa went from village to village saying she would run for office.

Voters who have always supported the same party and type of leader are relieved to see a new face in this election.

According to Rekha, a leader should be a servant rather than a ruler. Rekha told voters that they should not hand over their future to corrupt people who buy and sell people’s votes and only use them as a vote bank.

She stated that after years of making the people cry, the old leaders have finally received the response of the locals who vote for good candidates. Thapa, dressed in a kurtha and holding a diary and a pen, stated, “I have the courage of youth and the blessings of my parents.”

Rekha is determined to stick by the people no matter what they gain or lose. Slum dwellers and unorganized settlements are a problem in Rekha’s constituency. The locals have taken the problem very seriously.

Former Health Minister Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal is being debated on behalf of Morang Constituency No. 3 of the CPN UML.

Similarly, the name of medical practitioner Sunil Sharma is being considered by Congress. The new face of this region is RPP leader Thapa, who will compete with Sharma and Dhakal.
