In Pics: Visit of Chinese leader caused havoc in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The visit of Chinese People’s Congress Chairperson Li Zhanshu caused chaos in Kathmandu.

As of his visit, the transportation system in Kathmandu’s Tinkune, Naya Baneshwor, Babar Mahal, Singha Durbar, Maitighar, Thapathali, Tripureshwor, Bhote Bahal, Teku, Kalimati, Soaltee Hotel, and Ravi Bhawan Baneshwor areas became chaotic.

Since the foreign guest Li’s meeting at the parliament building in Baneshwor began this morning, transportation in the Baneshwor area has been disrupted. The police also prohibited the general public from walking.

Li returned to the Soaltee Hotel, where he was staying, at 12:30 p.m. after the meeting.
