Chairperson Li will meet with President Bidya Devi Bhandari tomorrow as part of his four-day official visit, which will last until September 15.
KATHMANDU: National Assembly Speaker Ganesh Prasad Timilsina met with Chinese National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairperson Li Zhanshu, who is in Nepal on an official visit. The meeting covered a wide range of topics of mutual interest.
The Federal Parliament’s Secretariat reported that a parliamentary delegation-level bilateral meeting took place between them in the morning at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
Chairperson Li arrived in Kathmandu on Monday at Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota’s invitation.
Speaker Sapkota and Speaker Li held a delegation-level bilateral negotiation at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor on the same day and signed a cooperation agreement.

This afternoon, Chairperson Li will meet with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in a courtesy meeting. Today, Leader Li will meet UML Chairperson and Former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, as well as CPN Maoist Center Chairperson and Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachand.’ Today, Chairperson Li will meet with Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation will go to Bhaktapur’s Durbar area to see the structures that have been rebuilt since the earthquake.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports a 67-member delegation led by Chairperson Li, which includes six high-ranking Chinese officials, security personnel, media personnel, and other staff. Chairperson Li is scheduled to return home on Thursday, September 15th, after completing his visit.
