People’s Congress Chairperson Li is busy in high-level meetings today
Li, who arrived in Nepal yesterday for a four-day visit, will meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.
KATHMANDU: Chinese National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairperson Li Zhanshu, who is visiting Nepal, will be busy with high-level political meetings today.
Li, who arrived in Nepal yesterday for a four-day visit, will meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.
Today, he will meet separately with former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. He will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari tomorrow.
Li will meet with Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka as a courtesy.
He had bilateral talks with Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota earlier yesterday. Following the speech, Speaker Sapkota hosted a dinner in Li’s honor.
The meeting with the two communist parties is being closely watched in political circles ahead of the election on Nov 20.
