China’s top lawmaker Li arriving Nepal today, such is the meeting agenda
On the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, Lee is going to visit Nepal for four days.
KATHMANDU: China’s National People’s Congress Standing Committee Chairperson Li Zhansu is coming to Nepal today.
On the invitation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Agni Prasad Sapkota, Li is going to visit Nepal for four days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement and informed that Zhansu will visit from today till Sept 15. It is said that Li and members of his delegation, who will reach Kathmandu in the afternoon, will hold bilateral talks with Speaker Sapkota in the evening. After the talk, Speaker Sapkota organized a dinner in Li’s honor.
Li will meet Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba tomorrow. Similarly, he is scheduled to meet separately with former Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (UML) KP Sharma Oli and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. He is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Sept 14.
Li will have a courtesy meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina and Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka, it is mentioned in the statement.
The meeting with the two communist parties before the election on Nov 20 is seen as meaningful in political circles.
