KATHMANDU: Based on the report submitted by the working group formed to decide seat distribution, the ruling coalition attempted to reach more consensus.
The report submitted by the working group was discussed at the coalition meeting held on Sunday at the Prime Minister’s Residence, Baluwatar, according to Jhala Nath Khanal, leader of the CPN Unified Socialist Party, and efforts were made to find agreement on the issues that could not be agreed upon in the distribution of seats.
He stated that the working group has resolved some issues but that many remain unresolved. Khanal stated that the majority of the issues will be resolved at a meeting on Monday.
The report was submitted to the top level by the seat allocation task force, which was formed under the leadership of Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula. Despite repeated discussions, the alliance has yet to finalize seat distribution.
