Printing of proportional ballot paper from today

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission will print ballot papers for the four provinces’ state assembly members. The ballot papers for the state assemblies of State 1, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki will be printed, according to the commission.

The ballot papers for Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim states will be printed in the final stages, according to Electoral Commission spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Paudel.

According to him, the commission has stated that approximately 131 million ballot papers for the four states will be printed.

The commission has been printing ballot papers at Janak Shiksha Material Center’s printing house in Bhaktapur.

Spokesman Paudel stated that the printing of the proportional ballot papers for provincial assembly members will begin immediately following the printing of the sample ballot papers for the assembly and provincial assembly members.

According to the commission, approximately 20 million sample ballot papers for the representative and provincial assemblies are being printed. The Commission began printing sample ballots on September 6.

The commission has printed ballot papers in anticipation of conducting sample voting in all 753 municipalities across the country.

According to Paudel, as the number of voters in each province varies, the ballot papers will be printed accordingly. Beginning today, ballot papers for four provinces will be printed.
