Journalist Ganesh Rai honored
The committee honored Rai, who has been associated with Kantipur Daily for a long time, with a letter of appreciation, food, and a pagri on the occasion of the 5th session.
KATHMANDU: Ganesh Rai, a senior journalist, has been honored. Rai, the founding chairperson of the Kirat Rai Journalists Association, was honored by the Valley Coordination Committee of the Kirat Rai Journalists Association in Kathmandu.
The committee honored Rai, who has been associated with Kantipur Daily for a long time, with a letter of appreciation, food, and a pagri on the occasion of the 5th session.
Rai was specially honored during the program held at the headquarters of Kirat Rai Yayokhha in Kateshwor by outgoing committee president Prakash Chamling Rai, coordinator of the 5th Central Convention Organizing Committee Avatar Rai, member-secretary Krishna Jit Rai, and former secretary of the association Sandeep Rai.
Since its inception on Ashoj 14, 2064 (1 October 2007), the association has been advocating institutionally for the rights, interests, and rights of Kirat Rai journalists.
