Govindram elected as chairperson of Nepal Chepang Association

CHITWAN: Govindram Chepang of Makwanpur has been elected as the chairperson of Nepal Chepang Association.

Govindram was elected as the chairperson for three years in the fifth national convention of the Chepang Association held in Bharatpur.

Govindram got 126 votes. His competitor, Chitwan’s Sunimaya Chepang, got only 92 votes.

Bill Bahadur Chepang from Gorkha, Sumitra Chepang from Dhading as the vice chairperson and Santa Bahadur Chepang from Chitwan as the general secretary of the association have been elected as the senior vice president of the association.

Surendra Chepang from Dhading and Bharatlal Chepang from Chitwan have been elected as the secretary and Aitsingh Chepang from Gorkha has been elected as the treasurer.

The convention elected a 30-member working committee.
