RPP chair Lingden celebrates his birthday donating blood

KATHMANDU: People have their own way of celebrating their birthdays.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) chairperson Rajendra Lingden celebrated his 57th birthday today by donating his blood.

The RPP Chair went to the Central Blood Transfusion Service Centre run by the Nepal Red Cross Society for the blood donation, Centre’s director Dibya Raj Poudel said.

“I have come to donate blood on my birthday. People who are getting my blood are getting well and I too am benefited by this,” Lingden said after giving his blood.

Director Poudel on the occasion underscored on spreading public awareness on the importance of blood donation. “If the leaders of every political party and the social sector donated their blood on their birthday, it would help in motivating the society toward blood donation,” he said.
